Here I showcase a letter sized zine I made that depicts an imaginary metropolis. I gained inspiration from the New York exposed engineering systems, because they remind me of how people from the past imagined their city’s future. All the images in the zine are self-made digital collages from the photo deck of exposed engineering systems that I took in Manhattan. I made two versions of the book. One is printed in the color of pink and blue and has a stipple effect, using the risograph printer, and the other one uses an inkjet printer, applying the original colors in the design file, while having a transparent cover.

This digital project is an extension of the printed project, aiming to develop the idea of a fictional metropolis. The video is an advertisement of a fictional world’s fair, introducing three pavilions, each representing a feature of the metropolis, which are construction, migration, and stratification.
